How beautiful is the Christmas time, is my favorite time of the year, is the time for meditate about the real meaning of the Christmas, the birth of the tenderness and the love in our hearts, but is also an exiting time full of expectations and celebrations, and sometimes our expectations about the holiday are too high, we become stressing, overwhelm and we begin to prepare the holidays celebrations without realize that we focus too much in have perfect every tiny detail and the only thing that we really get is to get exhausted.
But, what can we do?
1.- To do list
Write down in detail everything you have to do and you want to do during the holidays, this will give you a guide and it will save you a lot of time and stress.
Write everything in your to do list, gifts to buy, supermarket, all that you need for Christmas and New Years dinner, if you need some Christmas decoration, if you need something for yourself: clothes, make up, books, if you have children write everything you need for the children. Try to be as detailed as possible, how more detailed how better for you, because so you know that you will not forget anything so less stress.
Also make a list about everything you want to do, time to do something that you like: read, watch a movie, a beauty treatment, organize your closet, prepare a recipe, meditate or simply nothing, if you write it down it will be easier fulfill it.
2.-Self-Care: a priority
healthy eating, good sleeping, meditation, a little bit exercise, should be always a priority, and also during the holidays is important keeping a healthy self-care routine to keep your health and the stress under control.
3.- Be realistic
The holidays are exiting and full of expectations: sharing with the family, friends, the gifts, the celebrations, but sometimes we do not enjoy those moments very much because we are busy thinking, worry and paying attention about every tiny detail has to be perfect, that overwhelms us, creates stress and don’t let you enjoy the moment. Be realistic with your expectations and enjoy more.
4.-Schedule time for yourself
Don’t forget about yourself, do something that you love, that makes you happy, that relaxes you is the best way to avoid stress and feel better, if you do not have much time, schedule at the less 30 minutes, it can be just: read a little bit, take a bath, get a beauty treatment, go to the hairdresser (for the hairdresser sure more than 30 minutes😉) and listen to the music which is my favorite therapy: it reduces stress, increases your energy, improves your mood, clears your mind, and makes you feel less isolated.
5.- think positive
Think positive and you will create a positive environment that not only you will notice but also everyone around you. Having a positive attitude will make you feel healthier, more relaxed more beautiful and happy.
