The grandma’s recipe.
Are you looking for a way to use those old- day slices bread? Well, the old-fashioned grandmothers’s dessert can be the answer. The Rum raisin bread pudding is a delicious solution, is super easy to make and we find finally what to do with the last slices bread that we don’t want to waste.
The recipe is super easy you will only need these simple ingredients to make this delicious Bread pudding that you will love.
Ingredients:
250 gr. Soft bread cubes (about 6 slices bread)
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups milk
½ cup raisins
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons butter
¼ cup rum
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
1.- In a large mixing bowl Soak the bread in milk for at the least 1 hour.
2.- Preheat the oven to 180°C, Then use a mixer to thoroughly mix the bread with the milk.
3.- Add to the mixture the eggs slightly beaten, the sugar and the rest of the ingredients, then mix until completely homogeneous. Last, fold in the raisins.
4.- Pour the mixture into greased tin and bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until the bread pudding has puffed up and is golden brown along the edges.
5.- Take off the heat, allow to cool and serve.
6.- Enjoy!
