When we are parents and we have a very busy lifestyle with so many responsibilities it is very easy to forget our self-care routine, we are busy all the time taking care of our family, work, home, we make sure that everything is ok, and we don’t have the time for our self-care, that essential space that allow us: rest, relax, refresh the mind and boost our energies again and keep us healthy. This is why organizing your time and schedule your “Me- time” to take care of you should be a priority.
Why is so important to make your self-care a priority? well, for many reasons:

Sleeping is vital for the surviving and maintain your physical and mental health in optimal conditions. When you are exhausted and overwhelmed your mind can not longer concentrate in the same way as when we have rested, and if this situation lasts for a long time the stress can put at risk your health. Take care of your sleeping habits is essential for your well-being, because during the sleep time the body repairs itself and prepares for all the things we have to do the next day.
When we have a very busy life practicing exercises or sports regularly becomes very difficult, but try to find a time in your schedule to do some type of exercise or physical activity, this will benefit not only your body but also your mind.
Keep in touch with your friends and family
Contact with other people and the people that you love (friends and family) is also very important. This will make it easier for you to forget the daily worries you have a regain of your strength. Especially parents of young children often have the feeling of isolation, that they are on their own. But keeping in contact with friends and family or if you have a hobby, can help you to have that social contact again that is so important for you own well-being.
